Glow with the flow

DIY Design & Fabrication

For my final project, I created a lampshade from laser cut frosted acrylic. I designed the DXF files from scratch using Corel Draw vector graphics software. The round base and top pieces have precisely cut slots to securely hold the scalloped edges. This allows the entire assembly to stay together without any adhesives!

ACE CaSE

DIY Design & Fabrication

This multi-use playing card box was made with one piece of laser cut paper (and no adhesives or tape). It conveniently holds a hand of cards with four slots to easily sort by suit or number!

Paintbrush

DIY Design & Fabrication

For my first project using Blender, I created a simplified paper model of a paintbrush that I filled with expanding foam. Later, I added modeling clay to one side to create a more realistic shape and surface texture.

Paw Prop

DIY Design & Fabrication

Using one sheet of acrylic, I created a multi-angle phone stand that comes apart and folds flat in two pieces. The animal design could be easily modified and makes for a great, kid-friendly product!

SurfSip

DIY Design & Fabrication

This class project challenged me to use a single piece of acrylic to create a reusable handle for a 9oz paper cup. I laser cut and bent the acrylic to create a smooth form that snugly holds the cup.
